How to CPU mine using the Yespower Algorithm

If you don't have an asic miner, and just want to mine with your CPU, then you can mine PYRK using the Yespower algorithm.

Pyrk Pool Mining

First, you need to install the mining software. The one that I am currently using is here:
https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt

The precompiled Windows executable for mining is available to download here:
https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/releases/download/v3.14.3/cpuminer-opt-3.14.3-windows.zip

Download and unzip that somewhere easy to find, such at your desktop.

If you want to run the miner on a linux computer, then you will need to follow the INSTALL_LINUX instructions in the github repository.

Once you have the miner installed, then grab a new Pyrk address from your wallet to use it for the mining username.

Open up a command window, then go to the directory where you downloaded and extracted the cpuminer.exe file and run this command:
cpuminer.exe -a yespower -o stratum+tcp://stratum.pyrk.org:2099 -u <YOUR-PYRK-ADDRESS-HERE> -p x --cpu-priority 0
If you set "--cpu-priority 0", this means that the miner will only use idle cpu power so you can continue to use your computer without it slowing down too much.

That's it... Just let it run and you will receive payouts to your address automatically.

Mining-Dutch Mining

Mining-Dutch.nl has a pool setup for mining PYRK on the Yespower algorithm. Here is a guide on how to mine from your computer using the Mining-Dutch.no pool.

The first thing you will want to do is go signup for an account at Mining-Dutch if you don't already have one.
https://www.mining-dutch.nl/

Next, you need to install the mining software. The one that I am currently using is here:
https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt

The precompiled Windows executable for mining is available to download here:
https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/releases/download/v3.14.3/cpuminer-opt-3.14.3-windows.zip

Download and unzip that somewhere easy to find, such at your desktop.

If you want to run the miner on a linux computer, then you will need to follow the INSTALL_LINUX instructions in the github repository.

Once you have the miner installed, then you can start mining using the username you created at Mining-Dutch:

Open up a command window, then go to the directory where you downloaded and extracted the cpuminer.exe file and run this command:
cpuminer.exe -a yespower -o stratum+tcp://yespower.mining-dutch.nl:9986 -u <YOUR-USERNAME>.worker1 -p x --cpu-priority 0
If you set "--cpu-priority 0", this means that the miner will only use idle cpu power so you can continue to use your computer without it slowing down too much.

Finally, you will need to go to your "Workers" page at Mining-Dutch and set which coin you want to mine to PYRK. That page is here:

https://www.mining-dutch.nl/index.php?page=workers

1. On the top right of the screen, select "Yespower" in the algorithm box
2. Click on the the "Yespower Miner" that you are using for this... Probably "worker1".
3. Below that there are 3 boxes for "Miner/Group", "Coin/Set", and "Mode". When you click on worker1, then Miner/Group is automatically set to "worker1". For the Coin/Set box, select "PYRK". For the Mode box, select "PPS". Then click Apply Settings.

Thats it, you should now be mining PYRK
